Golden Horn Leads the Way

golden horn

Golden Horn really intrigued me on Saturday. I am now paying full attention (I know, I know. I'm late). I felt this year's Coral-Eclipse was complimented by the quality of field, a genuine test for Gosdens Golden Horn. The Grey Gatsby & Western Hymn are very good horses & I rate them highly. Detorri broke out of the stalls

American Pharoah lands Belmont Stakes to complete the Triple Crown

031715-horses-American-Pharoah-pi-mp.vadapt.620.high.0

This weekend's racing was arguably one of the busiest in the racing calendar. French Champion Hurdle, Oaks, Epsom Derby & the Belmont Stakes. Hurricane Fly out the frame, 50/1 Oaks winner, Gosden supplements the winner & American Pharaoh ends the 37 year drought.    When this happens, the couple

This weekend we saw Treve line up for the first time this season. Fresh off a break after winning her second Ark, Treve was priced shortly to oblige over at Saint-Cloud. She showed every bit of class a dual ark winner should & set for home alone

Weekend Review

It's unfortunate, but I feel the racing takes a bit of a lull at this time of the season with the Cheltenham dust settling behind us. The Media seem to dwell on the festival, which is great, but I'm not

Return of Sire de Grugy

Sire de Grugy made his reappearance on Saturday, after being sidelined with a niggling hip injury. On previous form you could perhaps justify 9/10 favouritism, however you'd have to be brave going in at that price for his comeback run. Sire De Grugy in no way disgraced himself at Newbury on the weekend, however, also didn't  look the
